Being a wife and mom to 4 crazy girls, and running my own business, I know first hand that life can be beautifully chaotic. Us women wear a million different hats throughout the day and we get so carried away with taking care of everyone else that we can sometimes forget to fill our own cup.
But the reality is, you can't pour from an empty cup and if you're not feeling your best, you can't be your best for you and everyone around you! So let's normalize taking time out each day for our physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing and take that first step towards the future you always envisioned for yourself! I can't wait to guide you on this journey and see where you go!
ver since I was a little girl, I have always been interested in health and wellness. I used to love doing those Jane Fonda aerobics videos with my mom in the living room and would always want to help her cook and think up creative ways to turn an indulgent recipe into a healthier version. My mom and dad were both major foodies and adventurers and always encouraged my love for cooking and athletics.
But, as I got older, I got into modeling in an era where being stick thin was the goal and thought of as healthy. I saw the dark side of what people were willing to do to achieve that figure and appear "healthy". But the reality is they were anything but. It affected my views on food and exercise and I became a walking contradiction. On one hand, I loved to cook and eat and enjoyed playing sports, but on the other, I was constantly questioning, “should I eat that?” or “Is picking up that weight going to make me look bulky?”. In the process of this internal chaos and desire to fit into societies image of beauty, I developed an eating disorder that controlled me for several years and I became a shell of the bright young girl I once was.
But once I became pregnant with my first daughter, I realized I couldn't go on that way and dedicated myself to truly improving and loving my relationship with food and exercise. And with that decision, I chose to make a career out of helping women come into their happiest and healthiest self and change the narrative of health and beauty so that my daughters and all the little girls growing up to know that your size doesn’t define your worth.
What I've learned over the years is that the goal is not to be perfect, but persistent. It's not just about how you look, but how you feel. Creating change comes with growing pains but if you can be consistent with your habits and learn to love the process, you can create true change in your life!
